Who's Your Favourite Muppet?

The Muppets' been around for a really long time, like since the 1950s. Some of you might be familiar with the Muppet Show, while some of you may not. With so many distinct characters goofing around and having a fun time amidst one another, just casually wondering if there's a favourite Muppet character that you embrace in your heart?

My favourite Muppet character would very likely coincide with a large proportion of you out there - Kermit the Frog. It's extremely difficult not to be attracted to the well-composed and poised protagonist of the series, especially when you do see him quite often in Sesame Street.

He's eloquent and speaks clear and well, thus I had always been looking towards Kermit as an excellent example when I was a kid. I'd always wanted to be able to communicate like he did, which might be why you'd find him interviewing/hosting events, like say the recent Pirates of the Caribbean - On Stranger Tides World Premiere at Disneyland. Have a look below:

Well, it's Kermit for me and what about you? Do you have a favourite Muppet?

Synopsis

On vacation in Los Angeles, Walter, the world’s biggest Muppet fan, his brother Gary (Jason Segel) and Gary’s girlfriend Mary (Amy Adams) from Smalltown, USA, discover the nefarious plan of oilman Tex Richman (Chris Cooper) to raze the Muppet Theater and drill for the oil recently discovered beneath the Muppets’ former stomping grounds. To stage a telethon and raise the $10 million needed to save the theater, Walter, Mary and Gary help Kermit reunite the Muppets, who have all gone their separate ways: Fozzie now performs with a Reno casino tribute band called the Moopets, Miss Piggy is a plus-size fashion editor at Vogue Paris, Animal is in a Santa Barbara clinic for anger management, and Gonzo is a high-powered plumbing magnate. With secret, signature, celebrity cameos, Disney’s “The Muppets” hits the big screen Dec. 8, 2011.

  2. Nice profile of The Muppets!

I would have to say that my favourite is Fozzie Bear! I grew up watching Fozzie tell his jokes (fall flat most of the time) and walking around with his rubber chicken.

I think that the reason I tried so hard to remember as many jokes as I could when I was younger was because I was inspired by Fozzie!

I can't wait to see this movie!

  7. I love them all, but I'm partial to Gonzo. He's quirky and weird and just wants to be loved, like yours truly. I also am in love with Dr. Teeth and the Electric Mayhem band.
