2011 Boston Society of Film Critics Awards

The Boston Society of Film Critics had also announced their winners amidst a mad rush of award season announcements by various critics groups.

Like several other critics groups, the Boston film critics have decided to embrace "The Artist" and awarded it Best Picture and a co-recipient in Best Use of Music. Scorsese's directorial was also recognised with a Best Director win for his work in "Hugo". They had also went with Albert Brooks and Melissa McCarthy for Best Supporting Actor and Actress respectively. McCarthy's multiple achievements today might pivot the award season somewhat but it's still early to be decided.

In the animation category, it seemed very much substantiated that "Rango" would be the critics' choice of the year.
