Adele - Skyfall

Adele's latest single Skyfall, written and performed for the main theme of the upcoming similarly titled 007 film, has recently been officially released and is deemed to be one of the key highlights fusing both the music and the movie communities together for a common event.

Sam Mendes' next Bond movie starring Daniel Craig, Helen McCrory, Ralph Fiennes, and Javier Bardem, is slated to premiere in UK this 23 October. What better prelude fanfare can be created besides allowing an aural insight into what the film might be about? Adele co-writes the single with Paul Epsworth with inspiration from the film's screenplay and thus it doesn't come across one as surprising when the track instills soulful notes of class and allure. Drawing strong vibes from past Bond films, it evokes an atmospheric sound stage of stoic composure and raging perils.

Releasing a dedicated single ahead of an anticipated film is definitely a big plus for us and let's hope to have more of such music-movie collaborations to come. Adele's single Skyfall is also available in the below embedded player:

  1. I have to be honest - I didn't like the track that much. Thought it was moody and tiresome. Adele is an amazing singer, but I think she didn't deliver with this one.
